Our history
The story of our melt-in-the-mouth cocoa Gugelhupf cakes began in 1993 in Weil am Rhein. It was here that Günter Keller and his son Michael came up with the idea that soon led to the finished product, Goufrais.
It quickly became apparent that Goufrais was unique in the chocolate market: there was no comparable product.
Goufrais is therefore now a family-run company with a special philosophy: We offer only one product, our cocoa confectionery, and have been focusing for over 25 years on offering this in absolute perfection in terms of quality and taste.
Our success proves our strategy right: from an initial two tons, our production volume has now risen to 140 tons per year. Our niche product has become a real bestseller, and 30 passionate employees make it possible to bring moments of Goufrais happiness to customers all over the world.
